Aikido for Kids Program

Natan Cheifetz, 3rd Dan, instructor of the Kids Program

Aikido is a Japanese martial art which has no tournaments or fighting matches. Through non-aggressive exercises and games, children will learn to develop strength, balance and self-confidence.

They will learn to neutralize aggressive situations while being imparted with concepts of discipline and respect.

Children are taught in a fun but structured environment by highly skilled and experienced instructors. The emphasis is on body movement, agility, discipline, and basic Aikido skills and principles.

No joint manipulation techniques will be taught.

There are two levels in the Children's Program: Beginners and Club. The Beginners Program is for younger children (6+) and first-time participants. The Club Program is for older children and those who have completed the Beginners Program. After age 13 children will be moved into the Adult Beginners program.

Please see instructor for Canadian Aikido Federation annual insurance of $20.

Please check the schedule and fees section.
